PRIESTS WHO CELEBRATE THE TRADITIONAL MASS

EXCOMMUNICATED AND SCHISMATIC ?

IN BRAZIL THE LAST STEP

OF THE TOTALITARY LOGIC

OF TRADITIONIS CUSTODES ?

231st WEEK: THE SENTINELS CONTINUE THEIR PRAYERS
FOR THE DEFENSE OF THE TRADITIONAL MASS
IN FRONT OF THE ARCHDIOCESE OF PARIS

“The liturgical books promulgated by Saint Paul VI and Saint John Paul II, in conformity with the decrees of Vatican Council II, are the unique expression of the lex orandi of the Roman Rite,” states Article 1 of Traditionis Custodes. It logically follows that the pre-Vatican II rite does not fully express the faith of the Church; that is, it does not express it at all.

Archbishop Carlos Alberto Breis Pereira of Maceió, Alagoas State, Brazil, has just taken the last and definitive step: he declared any priest who dares to celebrate a Tridentine Mass outside the designated area he has reserved for a few faithful in a hospital chapel to be schismatic and excommunicated.

Note from the Archdiocese of Maceió

The Archdiocese of Maceió informs the faithful residing within its territory that, should they wish to attend Masses known as "Tridentine" Masses—that is, those celebrated according to the Roman Missal of St. Pius V, promulgated by Pope St. Pius V in 1570, in Latin—the only authorized location is the Chapel of St. Vincent de Paul at the “Santa Casa de Misericórdia” in Maceió.

We clarify that this liturgy is always celebrated on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. by Father Cícero Lenisvaldo Miranda da Silva, of the archdiocesan clergy.

This dispensation was granted by the Archbishop of Maceió, Dom Carlos Alberto Breis Pereira, OFM, with the approval of the Holy See. This liturgy is not authorized in any other location, religious or secular, nor within any civil association.

According to canons 751 and 1364 § 1 of the current Code of Canon Law, the celebration of Mass according to the ancient rite in another location will be considered an act of public schism, which will entail automatic excommunication.

Monsignor Carlos Alberto Breis Pereira was received by the Pope on January 12. It is assumed that he also visited Cardinal Roche, Prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship. A question springs to mind: did he by any chance also share with them this vengeful zeal which seems to be driving him? It is noteworthy that the Note from the Diocese of Maceió precedes Cardinal Fernández's Note (February 12) on the SSPX by one day, wherein schism and excommunication are also mentioned.

The interpretation of Traditionis Custodes by the Bishop of Maceió is categorical

• The Tridentine Mass is only permitted in one place (a chapel within a hospital), only on Sundays, at a specific time, and by a specific priest (the hospital chaplain and parish priest of a neighbouring parish).

• In any other place, whether private or public, any priest who celebrates the Traditional Latin Mass will be considered schismatic and, therefore, will be automatically excommunicated and subject to all kinds of sanctions, including financial ones.

It is worth noting that on July 13, Bishop Ramón Bejarano, Auxiliary Bishop of San Diego, USA, celebrated a "Homosexual Eucharist" at the Church of St. John the Evangelist, under the motto "All are welcome." Among other things, a transgender person named Murray-Ramírez spoke during the service and thanked the bishop for defending the LGBT community, while the congregation burst in applause. Will the bishop be sanctioned? Not a chance!

It's worth noting that on January 28, at Our Lady of Pompeii Church in Corrientes, Argentina, Father Fernando Luis Gómez officiated the marriage of Solange Ayala, a man by birth but who identifies himself as a woman, and Isaías Díaz Núñez, a man by birth. The Archbishop of Corrientes, José Adolfo Larregain, declared that a formal decree of nullity would be issued. Will the priest be excommunicated? Not a chance!

In fact, today in the Church, there is only one unforgivable sin, one punished with the most severe penalties, a sin against the Spirit (of Vatican II): celebrating the roman traditional Mass .

It is this very Mass that we wish to see celebrated everywhere, without hindrance, by all priests who wish to do so, and for all the faithful who request it. For this reason, we pray our rosaries tirelessly in Paris, at 10 rue du Cloître-Notre-Dame, Monday through Friday, from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m.; at Saint-Georges de La Villette, 114 avenue Simon Bolivar, on Wednesdays and Fridays at 5:00 p.m.; and in front of Notre-Dame du Travail, on Sundays at 6:15 p.m.
